Year Out Placements
Year long placements offer businesses a cost effective and low risk way to gain the most up to date skills and knowledge.
Many courses include a “year out” or sandwich placement, where students typically spend their 3rd year working in industry. Courses which commonly incorporate work placements include business studies, IT, marketing, product design, engineering and hospitality.
Both the students and the business are supported by the University. Many businesses regularly take a placement student year after year, proving the value of such an option. Many of these students are then invited to work for the company after they complete their studies.
