Shell Step

What is Shell Step?
Shell Step places undergraduate students in their second or penultimate year of study into small and medium sized businesses and social enterprises to undertake project-based work determined by the needs of the business. 

When do projects take place?
Projects last for 8 weeks over the summer.
 
What sort of project will I be working on?
Students are matched to projects based on their skills, academic background, and ambition. You would be able to complete a challenging project which will give you great practical experience, increase your confidence and look good on your CV.
 
Previous projects include:
  • Setting up IT systems
  • Developing marketing strategies
  • Analysing production methods
  • Innovating new product concepts
  • Researching markets and behaviour

How much will I be paid?
Students are paid £200 per week (2008 salary).
