Why should I do a year out placement?
You can:

Usually taken in the penultimate year of your degree, the placement gives allows you to apply your academic learning and broaden your knowledge in a professional setting. If your placement is optional, you should consider the benefits of taking it, even though it extends the length of your degree course.
Businesses will often offer graduate employment to their gap year employees which gives piece of mind and extra motivation to students returning to their final year of studies.
